Milton Colts Girls Under 15s played Soham on Friday in the final of their cup competition. We got this from Kevin, our reporter at the match:

Final score: Soham 2 Milton 1 (Abigail) 1 aet A great match for the girls Friday evening all of them played their socks off!!! We started very well and were on top after about 15 minutes Abigail came on and with her first touch had a fantastic shot that found the back of the net 1 - 0 Milton!!! And we were on top for the rest of the half. We thought that Soham would throw everything at us after the break and we were right Milton played well and managed not to conceded and tried to increase the lead as well until 3 minutes before full time what a cocker!! After the girls had played so well all match. So into extra time the girls still played well but unfortunately Soham managed to sneak in the winner Milton tried hard to get the equalizer it did not come however I think it was better than having to go to penalties!!
I think all the girls played exceptionally well and did themselves and the team proud the sprit was such that Aimee was injured twice and still wanted to go back on!! after the match the medals and the trophy had been given out there were floods of tiers in the changing room which shows how much it all meant to the team. Player of the match the whole team! |
